• Anytime a student is removed from campus during the school day by a parent or designee, this person must be listed as a contact on the student's registration card.
• Students being removed early from school, 30 minutes or more, will have an absence marked into their attendance. 
• Leave of grounds procedures: students are required to obtain a leave of grounds pass/slip from attendance office before leaving school grounds.
• Parents/guardian may call the attendance line or send a signed parent note to school stating their full name, address, date, and reason for leaving for clerks to process a leave of grounds pass. Student then can pickup pass at student services office. 
• Students are only permitted to leave school grounds during lunch time without a pass, if not returning to school, call attendance office to notify and clear absence.
• If student will be missing more than 3 consecutive days, call attendance office.

TIP: For quicker service and to avoid busy times in the attendance office, please call in the morning (or earliest convenience) to get a leave of grounds slip for your student. The student can pick up their pass before school, during break, or lunch and they can show their teacher their pass at the time they need to leave, and they can go meet you!

CLEARING ABSENCES: ALL absences need to be clear. Any absence which is unclear will be treated as truancy.  Parents or guardians have 7 calendar days to clear any absences.  

If calling after hours, please leave us a voicemail message with the student’s name, date of absence, reason of absence, your name and relationship to student and phone number.

A valid medical verification can be provided when the student returns to school from a doctor’s appointment, medical note must be turned in for truant students.
