Subject Requirements

 

English - 40 credits (4 years)

  • Students are required to be enrolled in an English class for the 9th - 12th grades.

math - 20 credits (2 years)

  • Students must pass two consecutive years of standards based Math at two different increasing levels including 1 year of Integrated Math 1 or higher.

  • Students must enroll in Math in the 9th and 10th grades.

Physical education - 20 credits (2 years)

  • Students are required to be enrolled in PE in the 9th and 10th grade PE. 

Science - 30 credits (3 years)

List A: Chemistry in Earth System; Chemistry in Earth System (H);

Ag Chem in the Earth System; Ag Chem in Earth System (H);

AP Chemistry; Physics in the Universe;

AP Physics 1; AP Physics 2.

List B: Biology-The Living Earth; Biology-The Living Earth (Adv); 

Ag Biology - The Living Earth;  Ag Biology - The Living Earth (Adv)

Animal Science; AP Biology; Human Body Applied Biology; Forensic Science

List C: Any Additional Core Science Course or Specified 3rd year Science. 

 

social science - 35 credits (3 1/2 years)

    • 9th Grade: World Geography (5 Credits) or AP Human Geography (10 Credits)

    • 10th Grade: World History (10 Credits)

    • 11th Grade: U.S. History (10 Credits)

    • 12th Grade: American Governments (5 Credits) and Economics (5 Credits)

fine arts/foreign language (1 year) in courses listed below:

All Art Classes              The Art and History of Floral      All Performing Arts classes

Architectural Design    All Foreign Language Classes      Early Childhood Careers ROP*

 

*Meets High School Visual & Performing Arts/Foreign Language
